Daylight Scares PS4 and PC Owners April 8th; New Details

Zombie Studio’s upcoming procedurally-generated survival horror title Daylight will be releasing on PS4 and PC April 8th for $14.99

Ryan Clements of Playstation Blog also posted a blog saying that Zombie Studios is looking into a way to integrate Twitch viewers into affecting the games scares for the streamer. Zombie says  “the hope is to allow viewers to control the actual scares in a streamer’s experience, providing a much more interactive dynamic between player and audience. ”

The streaming integration seems really cool. I would love to stream this game and see what happens, assuming it can be pulled off. Sounds ambitious but rewarding if it can be done!

Dragon’s Crown Gets New Dungeon and Difficulty

What to do when you beat the story mode in Dragon’s Crown? Keep playing! A new patch brings a level cap increase from 99 to 255, a new difficulty called “Ultimate” and a new dungeon.

On a post on the PlayStation Blog, PR manager of Atlus John Hardin explained all the new goodies with the patch: “We got the impression that a lot of people didn’t feel Dragon’s Crown was hard enough on the way to level 99, so now there’s a brand new Ultimate difficulty level. After you clear the ninth layer of the Labyrinth of Chaos, you can access the new difficulty in the Temple.”

From 99 to 255 is a great big step, but seriously, the grinding? Fear not as Hardin kills that noise. “Once you’re on Ultimate difficulty, there will be a new dungeon unlocked, called the Tower of Mirages. It’s randomly generated and it has tens of thousands of levels. TENS. OF. THOUSANDS. I say this with all sincerity, since I know some of you are going to try to KO it: Good luck.”

Finally, the new patch will allow you to make a second character. “As long as you have a save file with the Story mode cleared, you can make a new character that skips over that part and leads straight into the Talisman collection quest.” This sounds like a huge patch and although Dragon’s Crown is popular, will it bring players back who have beaten it? And will it attract new players?
