It seems as if we finally are getting the multi-time delayed South Park RPG game. Recently going Gold and hitting shelves March 4th, publisher Ubisoft has released the first 13 minutes of the game for us to check out.
The Stick of Truth casts you as the new kid in South Park and put you right in the middle of the battle for the Stick of Truth.
Haha once again, no surprise honestly, the long-awaited South Park game has been delayed…once again. It was announced earlier this year that the game would be coming out December of this year and already showing off a collector’s edition, but you must wait again. March 4th, 2014 is the NEW release date…let’s see how long this release date holds up. The Stick of Truth is still slated for a PS3, 360 and PC release, but now will we see a PS4 and Xbox One release?
Matt Parker and Trey Stone, creators of South Park, commented on the 3rd delay of the game
“We always wanted the game to feel like you’re actually in an episode of South Park. Getting the game up to the crappy standards of the show has been a real challenge and we’re excited to say it’s taken way longer than we thought it would.”
“Within three weeks after acquiring the game, we sadly realized we had to turn this thing upside down if we hoped to deliver the experience everybody wanted,” says Ubisoft North America’s president Laurent Detoc. “It’s been such a major overhaul to get to the point where we are that we couldn’t let it go, even if that meant missing December.”
I am hoping that this is the 3rd and final delay for the game. People all over, including me, have been very interested in this since it was announced back in 2011 when THQ has control of it. Will this game EVER get released? With the game in Ubisoft’s hands, maybe and maybe not.
