Ys: Memories of Celceta Coming to PS Vita on November 26th; Collector’s Edition Announced

Just in time for Thanksgiving. If you are one to play games instead of watching the football games on turkey day, then look no further than the release of Ys: Memories of Celceta on Vita. PlayStation Blog has a post on it from the Localization Specialist of XSEED Tom Lipschultz where he details the game.

This game is a re-imagine of the fourth Ys series game. Although it will have the same feel as IV, the story in this game is brand new. Tom also says that if you’ve never played Ys before, this is a good place to make your debut in the series. He also goes on to list some features of the game fans will adore

  • Puzzle solving
  • Orb collecting
  • 3 person party system
  • Able to switch between teammates with the touch of a button’
  • Equipment crafting

The standard edition is $ 39.99 for both retail and digital. If you can get the collector’s edition (dubbed the silver edition) that will cost you $59.99 but it comes with a 120+ page book with maps, artwork and strategies. It also comes with a 3-CD compilation of music (both original and arranged) from throughout the Ys series’ storied history. Plus, a detailed cloth map of the lands of Celceta, and a logo-emblazoned compass.

Anyone who is a fan of the series and has a Vita should buy this. It wiould be great collectors edition to have. If you can’t shell out the $59.99 because of the upcoming PS4, that is ok. $39.99 for the game alone ain’t bad. I think I will have to buy the collectors edition and i’ve never played a Ys game before but I hear great things.
